Some of my retweets include a Greenpeace meme and a snarky quip about trying to pick a presidential candidate.

I definitely think that social media has enhanced my role as a citizen of the world. I have been able to read tweets directly from the source in cases such as during the Ferguson protest. National news chose to report of the violence and portrayed the protesters as violent and rioting. Through tweets of the protesters we were able to see that they were actually trying to be peaceful.
